Marseille has completed their signing of from Manchester United for £26.7 million ($35 million) and includes add-ons and a substantial sell-on clause. Greenwood will play for former Brighton & Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi, who was named Marseille’s new head coach in June.
Greenwood scored eight goals to go with six assists across 30 matches for Getafe last season. Greenwood had 2.2 dribbles per match, which ranked sixth in LaLiga and a WhoScored rating of 6.87 as he mainly played right winger.
The UK’s Crown Prosecution Service discontinued the case against Greenwood for attempted rape, assault, and coercive control after key witnesses withdrew their cooperation. Greenwood denied all the allegations against him.
Greenwood, who was considered a €50 million player before his arrest, is represented by Menno Groenveld.
