WNBA rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark will be teaming up on the league’s All-Star team on July 20 in Phoenix, Arizona. Following the achievement of the rookie’s selection for the All-Star game, a video of Reese at LSU resurfaced, sharing some interesting comments on the two potentially being teammates one day.
“I love Caitlin. We’ve been competing since we were in AAU. It was always fun, always competitive. One day hopefully, me and her can be teammates because she is a great player, and a great shooter, and a great person, and a great teammate,” said Reese via Bleacher Report on X.
Reese clearly showed high praise for Clark, and WNBA fans made sure to bring back the viral video after it was announced that the two would be wearing the same jersey for the first time in their basketball careers.
Clark and Reese are the first rookies on the same team at All-Star weekend since 2014. They’ve been making league history week after week, proving to be young stars at just 22 years old.
The Chicago Sky rookie is currently averaging 13.2 points and 11.8 rebounds, while the Indiana Fever guard has posted 16 points and 7.1 assists. Clark leads all rookies in assists, while Reese leads in the rebounding category.
The video of Reese’s comments initially received over 9,700 likes and over 2 million views. It’s received a ton of new responses after the news broke on Tuesday.
